I am a believer that the carbohydrates in our diet are at the root of obesity and disease. I also think the majority of nutritional advice that gets passed down to us from the government and so-called health experts is bunk. I've been low-carbin' since January 2007 - and I'm never going back to eating starches, sugars and "healthy" whole grains! I'm chronicling my journey here!

Down to 165 lbs today! I continue to inch closer and closer to my final weight loss goal of 158 lbs...and I'm still loving what I'm eating!

Down ANOTHER pound today to go down to 168lbs! I'm easily the lightest I've been since college. You gotta love losing fat - while eating fat!
Another pound gone this morning...to take me down to 169...and just 11 pounds away from where I'd like to be!
I'm back from my very enjoyable week-long vacation spot. No - not Walley World (though I did sport my Walley World t-shirt the other day)...but the wonderful resort up in the Catskill Mountains that my family and I have been vacationing at every summer for 32 years! - Anyway, it's back to reality today...and the good news is I didn't gain any weight on vacation, which as you know is no small feat...so I'm holding steady at 170 lbs...for now. I fully intend to continue shaving off the weight and love what I'm eating!
